Unless expressly stated otherwise, SUR is not the seller of the artwork and does not receive or hold the customer’s purchase payment.

The sale is completed directly between the buyer and the artist, artwork owner, or authorised seller.

SUR may assist with communication, coordination, delivery arrangements, and transaction administration.


5. Sharing Information with Artists and Sellers

When you inquire about or request to purchase an artwork, SUR may share information reasonably necessary to respond to and administer the inquiry with the relevant artist or seller.

This may include:

  • Country or delivery location

  • Delivery or collection requirements

  • Communications relating to the transaction

  • Information required to prepare or confirm the sale

The artist or seller may use this information to:

Payments for artworks are ordinarily made by bank transfer directly from the buyer to the relevant artist or seller.

SUR does not receive, hold, or process the artwork purchase funds.

SUR may receive or retain limited transaction information for administrative purposes, including:

  • The agreed price

  • Payment status

  • Transfer date

  • Transaction reference

  • A payment receipt or confirmation

  • The buyer’s name

  • Confirmation from the artist that payment was received

The relevant banks and financial institutions involved in the transfer process information under their own legal obligations and privacy practices.

Please do not send SUR your online banking password, PIN, complete account credentials, or other unnecessary financial information.


7. Website Hosting and Technical Support

The SUR website is built and operated using Odoo website technology and infrastructure.

Odoo may process limited technical and personal information necessary to host, secure, and operate the website.

The website was designed and developed by Zumra. Zumra may also provide technical maintenance, troubleshooting, or support services.

Where necessary for technical support, authorised Zumra personnel may have limited access to website systems or information.

Zumra acts only as a website and technical service provider. Zumra is not the seller of the artworks and is not a party to transactions between buyers and artists.

SUR seeks to limit service-provider access to what is reasonably necessary to perform the relevant service.


8. Service Providers

SUR may use third parties to support activities such as:

  • Website hosting

  • Website maintenance

  • Email and communication services

  • Analytics

  • Cloud storage

  • Packaging

  • Delivery and logistics

  • Accounting and record keeping

  • Technical support

  • Security and fraud prevention

These providers may receive information only to the extent reasonably necessary to perform their services.

SUR may also disclose necessary information to a courier, delivery provider, packaging provider, artist representative, or other person involved in fulfilling a transaction.
