Tayf Al-Masri

LebanonPAINTING, PRINTMAKING, SCULPTURE

Tayf Masri is a multidisciplinary visual artist from Baalbek, Lebanon. His artistic practice emerges from the city's landscape, memory, and material textures, with Baalbek forming a central axis of his work, serving simultaneously as subject matter and point of departure. Drawing on his personal history as well as collective heritage, he works with collage, printmaking, and wood-based assemblages to explore notions of place, fragmentation, and identity.

Al-Masri completed an artist residency at MACAM (Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art) in 2024. He participated with his works in the exhibition "In Memory of Aref El-Rayess" at the American University of Beirut in 2025, alongside artists addressing issues of heritage and memory within the context of artists who presented works engaging with contemporary social issues through printmaking and engraving techniques.
