Hussam Hasan

Hussam Hasan (b. 1988) is an Amman-based visual consultant, artist, and photographer. His practice explores public space, borders, and movement, often blurring the line between documentary and conceptual work. He has initiated projects across Amman, Basel, Sion, Beirut, and beyond, and collaborated with institutions and outlets such as National Geographic, The New York Times Magazine, The Washington Post, UNESCO, the Goethe-Institut, and Brownbook. In 2017, he received the Hans Wyss Foundation scholarship to pursue an MA in Art in the Public Sphere at EDHEA in Switzerland. In 2024, he self-published his first graphic novel, Nu’man. He has also led photography training and mentorship programs with UNICEF, Takween, Turquoise Mountain, MMAG Foundation and others.
