Johnny Semaan — Anfeh
This series of 30 sculptural reliefs made from limestone paste was produced in 2023 as part of the Anfeh Art Residency organized by GAIA-heritage in collaboration with Anfeh Municipality.
This collection explores cultural and spiritual symbolism relating to nature and the sea. It aims to understand the definitions of the multi-layered ancient city, as well as the various social and environmental challenges it faces.
